I'M SO GLAD TO BE HOME EVERYONE! LTC was a killer.okay..not exactly, but it was tough.very VERY tough.and tiring.but it was fun in some ways also! i liked tower and low elements.the games were so fun!!okay so here's the exclusive preview of CHERIE'S LTC EXPERIENCE.bet you're dying to hear it.enjoy.
DAY ONE.
i reached school at 6.10 because my dad fetched me and he had to drop my brother first.so i was EARLY.and when i reached schl,the gates werent even open.so wth,i went to sleep in the car.but then after like 5mins, i woke up because the stoopid taxi in front of me was so noisy!there was like so much chit chatting inside it la!i got so irritated i stuck out my head and looked straight at the taxi.HAH. and i saw leader kelly and leader deborah i think staring right back at me.so i pretended not to notice and looked away!!
ahhha! first day there was all the test in the morning, including orienteering, obstacles, first aid and campcraft.haha! i falied my first aid- 9.5/30. PRO.so we only left for the campsite at about 12? after brunch.the bus ride was super nice!! mainly cause i was sleeping.
when we reached the campsite right,that was when the real terror began la!they we like saying this and that and suddenly all become so firece.so after we 'checked in' to our dorms which were EXTREMELY TINY.we had to go our our first acts! mine was LOW ELEMENTS. its soo fun! all the games are so interesting.especially the spider web thing and the seesawplank.at the seesawplank,chief came and took so many photos of us!and she tried to make us fall by laughing at uss and telling us sstoopid jokes!! hahha!!so funny.and BRAVO'S FLAG IS #1 IN DROPPING.everyday minimum drop 3 times.so, naturally we had to do many many never-ending forfeits to claim back the flag which would eventually drop again.yupp.
bathe time was quite interesting.because it was only the first day so we all took longer to use the toilets and all.AHHA.then the stupid shower curtain kept on flapping and you could see the ppl inside the toilets!! so gross.luckily i always chose the inner cubicles so there the things would flapp less. and no one bothered to poke theif heads so far in.
LTC i would say is not horrible.but maybe because i'm just not used to it.so i couldnt eat it!i gave all my food to my group members to finish for me.so i was super hungry! i was hungry.but when i ate the food, i felt like vomitting.yucks.ha.so after the looongg and tiring day..we went to the MPH for debrief.AND I DIDNT EXPECT IT TO BE SO LONG LA! it was like, what, ONE HOUR?!? becasue all the departments had so many things to say,and there were so many departments somemore.i shall not list.my leg almost died when debrief finally ended.and i cant understand why anyone would actually wanna listen to a debrief. 100% boring.
lights out was at 11.45!so i TRIED MY BEST to get to sleep.but couldnt!because..the bed was so itchy.lucky there were sleeping bags.and during the night i woke up like every 15mins or 1/2hour or so.and it started at 1.00am and lasted till morning.MEANS I DIDNT HAVE A GOOD SLEEP AT ALL.and the leaders came to shine torches at our faces also in the middle of the night.to see whether we were asleep.so annoying.OH YA! and i bunked with evelyn and kelly! KELLY IS SUPER SCARY AT NIGHT.cause her eyes are so big.staring at you without blinking. :)
DAY TWO.
becasue i didnt have a good sleep the night before..i was very very lethargic on the second day.which was the most tiring day with alot of activities.including tower/rockwall, high E, crossing boundaries, campfire night, field cooking, and disgusting PT.
PT is just some dumb morning exercise where you have to go to the MPH and rn rounds,to stretching and jumping jacks while singing songs.ahhaha.so tiring,i was only half awake somemore!then alot of stuff la!!crazy stuff.which wasnt fun at all.
the day started off terrible because i was so hungry,and craving for some nice breakfasat.but then we got field cooking instead.MY GROUP SUCKED AT COOKING.hahhaha.the chicken we gave the leaders were still raw. :) so sick la.and charlie's chicken was so nice.the smell kept blowing into my nostrils.so i only had plain and half cooked macaroni for breakfast.
next was high E.it was very fun.i love to climb upp all the stuff!especially the one where we can climb up then jump and reach for the trepeze thing.althought i didnt reach the thing. ahha!instructor ivan was so lame.when i fell, he was my belayer.so he didnt wanna let me come down after i fell you know!!and he just left me there in the air, demanding that i flap my wings like a bird before he let me down. aahh!!but then jumping part was the most fun. :) oh and the pole was so wobbly.couldnt balance.! then after i flapped my 'wings',instructor ivan suddenly let me drop la!! THEN I SCREAMED!! then he :hehehe. SO DUMB.hah.oh i didnt climb the other station becaause i didnt like it.it was : a bridge too far.
that act lasted till lunch time which was at 11 plus i tink! OMG I REALLY NEEDED THE BREAK! been under the sun so looong!!it was a miracle i didnt really get sunburnt.except for my neck there.where i got the house tee line.hha! so ugly.lunch as usual,i couldnt eat anything.so i only drank the drink(diluted syrup).and i gave all my food away!but at least i could rest during lunch!under the fan and all.cooling myself down and maybe eating a few spoons of rice or vegetable.haha! we also had to do meal chheers!so fun to create meal cheers.BRAVO's was the doraemon theme somg thing.hahah. :)
mext was tower and rockwall.I LOVE TOWER SO MUCH!and i hate rockwall.bravo's sequence was like this, first the zipline then then rockwall,finaly abseiling.i only did zi;line and abseiling which was so interesting!i realise i'm not scared of heights.becasue when i loooked down i didnt really feel that scared. :) so i just immediately jumped down the tower for zipline!!!miss poon took us for zipline.and then i was one of the few who went up there first!i realised that miss poon just shoved the ppl who were scared down.hahah!!so funny.WHOOOHOOO.it was so funnn!
as for the rockwall.i didnt climb it partially becasue asst. chief sharon asked me and evelyn to go and refill our group's water bottles.that took a super long time la!becasue there were so many bottle so fill.and all 1.5litres also.so HEAVY.so by the time we reached the rockwall,it was time to change station for us.but i didnt really mind that casue i did rockwall before in pri schl CLIMBING ROPE COURSE.so its fine with me whether or not i do it again. :)
so next we went to ebseiling.SO FUN!! i was either slacking on the floor with kelly or sporting the people with kelly.hha.i didnt know where evelyn went to.kelly didnt wanna abseil so i had to go.its was fun and i enjoyed it!but the gloves were far too big for my hand!!and with the gloves on the rope was so slippery!!!and i felt like just letting go of the whole thing la!then i can just fall down and maybe pull mr chan along.
after all these long and tiring exercises under the hot sun.it was stil only 4pm.SO SHOCKING! i thought it was already 7 la.anywayy.
mext was crossing boundaries.its a orienteering activity help somewhere near the labrador trng camp.i tink its at the labrador park,and it was quite far away from the campsite.about roughly a 20-25min briskwalk.hhaa/so tiring.but then when we finally reached we played the game!! it was so fun.its actually somethin glike the amazing race.like after you read the map and get to the location,you must solve the clue cards givenand then proceed on to the next station.hhaa.our group was quite fast. :) thank you leader deborah. :) the most fun station was at the jetty with leader kelly!where she made us face the sea with the nice sea breeze playing broken telephone.and the msg she passed was super dumb!! some like: mr ahmad is a guy who likes to order fishballs and fishcakes in his laksa.something like that. :) but sadly!!we were playing hlfway until the sky suddenly became overcast.AND MISS LEONG MADE US JOG BACK TO THE CAMPSITE.which was so extremely far away.and it was also so uncalled for!!we brought our ponchos so we could just walk.but we ended up jogging anyway.
after the jog it was immediately dinner.of which i couldnt eat again.!but the day's dinner was super fun because my group had kitchen duty!!we had to serve food!so fun eh! at first i served ricce to them.but then the rice was so hard so i was havving quite a hard time.jiatian then offered to change roles with me.so i swithed to serving chicken instead!with all the gravy..OMG i tink i did a very very bad job becasue i flooded eveyone's plate with gravy and they spilt it. OOPS. hahaha.but it was super and me and jiatian were likelaughing about some stoopid thing we came upp with.JIATIAN'S 100% LAME.
later was bathe.nothing much.then CAMPFIRE NIGHT!
camofire wasnt very fun also as it was raining.so we could only use a fake fire(parrafin lamp) in the MPH.so sadd..but i guess the atmosphere was somewhat there.the exleaders also came back and i talked to mingjin.hhaha!!the group cheers were so funnnnnnnyy!!! and the skits too.HAWK's skit is super funny!! ITS HILARIOUS.the aliens went walking around with a wierd sound and their hands in a wierd position holding a umbrella saying YO YO!!!hahha.its was hilarious.so funnyyy.grace so cute.she was the most funny alien.yup.my group also performed.and jiatian who acted as jam guy was so funy.haha.she acted so well when she pretended to have a fit.campfire wasnt very interesting.it was quite tirin la.and very hot somemore.finaly it ended!
DEBRIEF.which was one hour as usual.yucks.we were all DEAD TIRED.and miss poon the champion nagger added on to the debrief so our lights out was pushed back to 12midnight!! oh my where got enough sleep! i was walking along the corridor towards the toilet to wash up when i met joyce.and she looked like a zombie. :) her eyes very like so eye.and lack of sleep.
LIGHTS OUT.i had a very very good sleep this time.that is until 4am.where there was the dumb fire drill.the fire drill lasted until 5am which was the actual time we had to wake up so we only had like 4 hours of rest in that whole TIRING DAY.
DAY THREE.
morming we had PT again.and there were so many bees flying about in the MPH.so disgusting.while i was doing the jumping jacks this STOOPID bee came tomy clooar there then it didnt want ta go away!then yusin and all the other came and tried to help me brush it away la.but it flew inside my shirt instead.EEEEE.the feeling was super sick.its like something buzzing about in your shirt.at your back.HAHAH!THEN I GOT STUNG BY IT IN THE END.very pain! its like just taking a neelde andpoking it forcefully into your bodyy!! ouch.i hope my sting wont swelll like the others!
breakfast we had fried rice.and milo.wierd combination right.ha.the milo tasted like honey.i think they added honey to the milo insteadt of sugar.or maybe they used the honey rock sugar.so the milo didnt taste as diluted as it seemed!! yay. the friend rice was soso only.it was just rice that was FRIED.yupp.
nothing much happened that day!luckily.there was only one act,which was BIG SWEEP.and i chose the slackest one because my eyelids were already half closed!so i got the job of 'cleaning the dorms'.hahha.actually we were all just slacking on the floor,singing songs and telling lame jokes.-me evelyn kelly and afiqah.
hahha.then the leaders came to check.and we carried our stuff to the courtyard!! get ready to leave!!so fun!ahhah.the leaders taught us how to sing many many campfire songs..one of which was PASS IT ON.we sing it in church and its very nice!!! haha.the tune is damn soothing.then we learnt the yippee yippee aye aye thing.hhaa!ass.chief sharon can actually do both hands.so amazing. :) haha then there were also others like the CEK CEK GOLEK thing.hah and the THERE WAS A STREAM,JUST A TEENIE WEENIE STREAM thing.so fun.ahha!and of coursenot to miss out BILLY BANJA.hah.:) very fun.then we left the campsite!!!
we shared a bus with bravo and charlie and a few leaders.i think there wass leader elyssa yanyi kelly weishan and a few more..ha!then we played where's the peanut with them.so cute that game.the leaders nade up a song for the campers.goes like this.
chief yusin had a farmee ai ee ai ohhand on that farm she had some campersee ai ee ai ohhwith a drag drag here and a drag drag therehere drag there drag everywhere drag dragcheif yusin had a farmee ai ee ai ohhhhaa!@ it so funny.and lame.becasue they kept on scolding us for dragging our feets.haha.strangely i didnt sleepin the bus.but i ate yiwen's HONEY LEMON strepsils.yay.
when we reached sch finally!!! we had to do the 2006 evaluation form on ecampus.quite interesting la.hhaha!!anyway i was very very happt and thankful to be home. :) when cheif shouted BREAK CAMP! everyone rejoiced like crazyy!! until miss poon the #1 nagger came and we all groaned.luckily she didnt talk very long.about 20 mins or so.haha.yay!then we could go homee!!!
